Ray Allen is opening an organic drive-through restaurant in Miami

Ray Allen played the final two seasons of his 18-year NBA career with the Heat, and Miami is the city he's chosen to put down some roots and create his latest business venture.

Allen last played in the NBA in 2014, and appears to be done for good. The next logical step is to find something that will keep him occupied during his life after basketball, and Allen and his wife have turned their attention toward opening an organic fast-food restaurant that will have exclusively healthy options.

“People want to be healthier, eat cleaner and feel better about what they’re putting in their bodies,” Allen said, via the Miami Herald. “I know this from personal experience, and when Grown opens it will very much be a concept unlike anything else, designed to be accessible by everyone, from the weekend warrior to the soccer mom and anyone in between.”

It's certainly a positive idea, but it'll be interesting to see if it gains any traction. The wife of LeBron James opened a juice store in Miami in December of 2013, but it closed earlier this year.
