If you cannot make it into the Moda Center tonight, the game will air on national television: TNT at 7:30pm. (Radio play-by-play on 620am) Those who are frustrated with Comcast’s exclusivity on many Blazers’ games – this will be the first of six TNT games this season. ESPN will also carry eight games featuring Portland this year.

For the Clippers, Thursday night’s game will be the first game of the regular season. They are one of four teams to not play a game within the first two nights of the NBA season. The last time the Clippers played a meaningful game, it ended in a Rip City celebration – Game six in the first round of last year’s playoffs. Injuries to Chris Paul and Blake Griffin helped the Trail Blazers prevail despite beginning the series 0-2. Los Angeles will be at full strength tonight and eager for revenge.

Opening night was a major success for Portland. Their depth, along with an MVP caliber performance from Damian Lillard, proved to be the difference. Two players that did not have their best night against the Jazz should rebound tonight. Mason Plumlee and Maurice Harkless were arguably the most important players during last year’s first round victory. Plumlee’s passing ability opened up the offense and Harkless received many of the assists Plumlee dealt.
