Patrick McCaw to miss at least the next two games

Warriors rookie Patrick McCaw is expected to miss, at least, the next two games with an ankle sprain.
The Golden State Warriors’ already-limited depth will be challenged as they will be without Patrick McCaw for, at least, the next two games. The rookie sprained his left ankle in the final seconds of the first half in New Orleans. He was helped off the court and didn’t return to the game.
McCaw was seen after the game limping and, eventually, walking with the help of crutches. He said that he had never sprained that ankle before–only his right one. Despite it only being a sprain, the Warriors definitely want to be cautious here.
The Warriors’ rookie had 3 points and 1 assist in 9 minutes before sustaining the injury. He came into to relieve Steph Curry after the MVP picked up his third foul of the first half. It looked like Steve Kerr was giving McCaw the chance to earn the minutes behind Curry.
Golden State’s starting backcourt is, obviously, terrific. Kerr decided to carry a lot of guys who can play the four or five, limiting his options on the wings. Ian Clark will presumably get those minutes over the next two games.
Perhaps this is a #LightYears ahead moment for McCaw and the Warriors. It’s clear that everyone around the team is very excited for the young guard’s development. Curry, a two-time MVP, dealt with ankle injuries early in his career.
Perhaps this is a rite of passage, of sorts and McCaw is going to come back in a week and destroy the entire NBA.
