Nets' Johnson 'surprised' Deron Williams wanted buyout, hasn't spoken to him

Things didn't work out the way the Brooklyn Nets hoped with former point guard Deron Williams, who was bought out this summer before joining the Dallas Mavericks. And that apparently surprised Nets All-Star Joe Johnson, who told reporters on Monday at Brooklyn's media day that he hasn't spoken with Williams since the buyout:

But there's a chance that's just Johnson saying the right thing, if former teammate Tyshawn Taylor's comments are to be believed. Shortly after reporters shared Johnson's remarks, Taylor tweeted that in his estimation, Johnson was not surprised by the buyout request:

Taylor, who is currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, backtracked a bit in the following tweet, saying essentially, "What do I know?" -- albeit with slightly more colorful language -- before deleting the tweets.

It sounds like last year's Nets locker room was an interesting place to be -- and Kevin Garnett's presence wasn't even the most interesting aspect.
