The Miami Heat are scheduled to host the Brooklyn Nets at American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night.
It will be the first time the Heat will be playing in front of their home crowd in their home arena this preseason. And to kick off the 2016-2017 NBA campaign, the Heat organization has organized a special tribute to fallen Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez, including JDF-personalized shirts that the players will wear during warm ups before Tuesday's game.
Beloved Marlins pitcher Fernandez was killed in a boating accident on Sept. 25 at the age of 24.
A special tribute to a special player. Well done, Heat.
