Knicks without Billups; Mavs without Stojakovic

Knicks guard Chauncey Billups was to miss a sixth straight game and Mavericks forward Peja Stojakovic a second straight because of injuries.

Billups has a problem with his left thigh. He shot before the game and coach Mike D'Antoni declared him ''close,'' saying he could return Sunday. The team is hoping he can practice Saturday.

Stojakovic has stiffness in his neck.
