Now in the final week of the regular season, there is going to be some pretty bad basketball come down the pike. Teams are either resting stars in preparation for the playoffs or playing out the string in the cellar of their respective divisions.

Saturday night’s game between the Orlando Magic and New York Knicks was no exception. These two teams, a combined 40-118 on the season, absolutely stunk it up during a record-breaking second quarter.

The teams scored a combined 15 points in the second quarter, which is a new NBA record for the fewest combined points scored in a quarter.

To make matter worse, New York and Orlando combined to shoot 13.5 percent from the field in the quarter.

Let’s put all this into perspective for a second. Stephen Curry scored more points (10) in the final two-plus minutes of the Warriors' win over the Blazers on Thursday night than either of these teams scored in the second quarter.

Can we just start the NBA playoffs now?
