Kevin Garnett's career is first to span from teens to 40s

Kevin Garnett just signed a two-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. This fact alone is amazing, considering Garnett is 39 years old and still so much in love with basketball that he wants to continue playing on a team that's clearly in rebuild mode.
But even more incredible is what this deal could mean on a historical level. According to this helpful post on NBA Reddit, when Garnett turns 40 on May 19th, he'll be the first player in NBA history to compete in his teens, 20s, 30s and 40s. The man's first-ballot Hall of Fame career is virtually unprecedented.
In that span he's made 15 All-Star teams, four All-NBA first teams and nine All-Defense first teams. He won a title in 2008 (when he also won Defensive Player of the Year), was named MVP of the league in 2004 and awarded the league's J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award in 2006.
There will never be another Kevin Garnett. Not even close.
