Jazz Bear to lead other mascots in annual 'Mascot Bowl' football game

The NBA regular season is just weeks away from tipping off. Media days start on Friday. Most training camps start next week. But before all of the basketball festivities officially get underway, Utah Jazz mascot Jazz Bear is taking the gridiron -- along with some of his mascot friends.
The Utah Jazz announced on Wednesday that Jazz Bear will be once again be part of the mascot team, which will feature local and professional sports mascots. The mascots will face the Lehi (UT) eight-grade football team. And on Tuesday, Jazz Bear and fellow mascots posed for a few photos:
The game is a charity event, and proceeds will go to benefit "Bear Hugs for Kids" and "Firemen and Friends for Kids," organizations that provide holiday shopping sprees for children in need.
Along with Jazz Bear, NBA mascots from the Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Indiana Pacers will be on hand to represent the NBA. The game will take place on Monday, September 28 at 5 p.m. local time.
