Jackson hurting; Bobcats with 9 healthy players

Published Apr. 3, 2011 4:58 p.m. ET

Charlotte Bobcats coach Paul Silas expects top scorer Stephen Jackson to miss his second straight game with a lingering left hamstring injury.

Jackson skipped Sunday morning's shootaround to get treatment. While Jackson has said he hoped to return Sunday night against Washington, Silas expects him to sit out. It would leave Charlotte with only nine healthy players as it enters the night two games behind Indiana for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Forward Tyrus Thomas, guard Shaun Livingston and forward Eduardo Najera remain sidelined. Thomas has pain in his surgically repaired left knee, Livingston has a bruised tailbone and Najera a sore back.

Silas says Dante Cunningham will start against the Wizards in Jackson's place.
