Injured Gasol, Brewer out rest of season
Grizzlies center Marc Gasol and guard Ronnie Brewer will miss the team's final eight games of the season because of injuries.
The Grizzlies announced the injuries Friday.
The 7-foot-1 Gasol missed five games between March 16-24 after partially tearing a neck muscle March 13 against Denver. He aggravated the injury Wednesday night against Dallas.
Gasol has career highs with 14.6 points and 9.3 rebounds. He also is shooting a franchise-record 58.1 percent and leads all second-year players in that category and rebounding.
Brewer partially tore his right hamstring Feb. 19 in his first game after the Grizzlies traded for him from Utah. He missed 13 games with that injury and had played in only four games since. His last was March 22 at Sacramento.
