Iman Shumpert arrested for suspicion of DUI in August

Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert was pulled over arrested for suspicion of DUI last month in Atlanta, the team announced Friday.

Shumpert was pulled over for a lane violation on Aug. 10 before being booked. TMZ reports officers found a mason jar with marijuana inside the car, and that officers determined he was high after failing a field sobriety test.

Traditionally, the league has handed down suspensions of three games for DUIs.

The Cavaliers say they have discussed the issue with Shumpert, and a court date has not been set.

The former first-round pick played in 54 games for Cleveland last season, starting five, and averaged 5.8 points and 3.8 rebounds.
