Humphries splits from publicity team

NBA star Kris Humphries was severing ties with the publicity team he hired following his short-lived marriage to reality TV star Kim Kardashian, TMZ reported Sunday.
The report, which noted that the Nets forward's 73-day working relationship with Anderson Public Relations (APR) lasted a day longer than his high-profile but ill-fated marriage, said the two parties reached irreconcilable differences on managing his off-the-court image.
Humphries, who finished with 12 points and 16 rebounds in the Nets' 84-74 home defeat to the Thunder on Saturday night, was said to be keen to focus solely on basketball and hiring a new PR team in New York.
Sources told TMZ that APR was disappointed that Humphries was reluctant to discuss his estranged wife during an appearance on "Good Morning America" last month.
The Minnesota native was thrust into the national spotlight through his relationship and August wedding to the celebrity heiress, with the media interest only intensifying when she filed for divorce in October.
Humphries' reputation in his sport appeared to be affected by the breakup, with him being regularly booed by rival supporters and, according to a December poll, surpassing LeBron James as the player NBA fans love to hate the most.
