Hornacek isn't interested in the Iowa State job...or is he?

The Jeff Hornacek/Phoenix Suns/Iowa State saga has gone from interesting to downright bizarre. Early on Wednesday, a report on Cyclone Fanatic surfaced that Hornacek had declined an interview for the head coach position at Iowa State. But that wasn't the end of the story. No, it was just the beginning.

Shortly after that report surfaced (on a message board, no less), Hornacek's agent responded in the comments section, denying the report.

"'We represent Jeff Hornacek. Rarely do I post but I will simply say this story is inaccurate. Jeff loves his alma mater and the facts are simply wrong here,' Kauffman wrote. 'School knew they (Iowa State) had to request permission in a certain manner from the Phoenix Suns. I do not wish to allocate the blame as to the parties at fault here. But it's a shame.'"

The lesson here is...well, actually, I don't know what the lesson is, because this whole story continues to get weirder and weirder by the day.
