Hawks C Jason Collins ejected for hard foul

Atlanta center Jason Collins has been ejected from the Hawks' game against New Orleans on Friday night after a hard foul on David West.

In the opening minute of the third quarter, West took a pass from Chris Paul and went in for an attempted dunk. Collins gave the foul with both arms around West's head, prompting a staredown between the players but nothing more serious as the officials jumped in to push the Hornets player away.

Collins started at center in place of injured Al Horford.
