Grizzlies GM Wallace OKs extension

Published Jun. 20, 2010 1:00 a.m. ET

The Memphis Grizzlies say general manager Chris Wallace has agreed to a contract extension.

Team spokesman Dustin Krugel told The Associated Press on Sunday that Wallace has agreed to a multiyear extension. Terms weren't immediately available.

The move gives the team some continuity among its leadership. Head coach Lionel Hollins signed a three-year contract with the team in April.

Wallace, also the team's vice president of operations, was present at the team's pre-draft workout Sunday. Among the six players auditioning for the Grizzlies were Kentucky forward Patrick Patterson and West Virginia forward Devin Ebanks.
