Pau Gasol has no idea whether his first practice of the season will be his last with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The four-time All-Star realizes the club is trying to trade him in a three-team megadeal for New Orleans point guard Chris Paul, but Gasol is still hoping he'll somehow manage to stay with the Lakers.
Gasol practiced Saturday in the second workout of an awkward training camp for the Lakers, whose deal to acquire Paul was shockingly rejected by the NBA two days earlier. Lamar Odom, the other key component of the deal, took his annual physical but didn't practice.
Gasol says he has made Los Angeles his home, but the Spanish 7-footer knows his fate is out of his control. Houston would get Gasol in the proposed deal.
