CLEVELAND -- Ohio's Republican senator is hoping to toast a Cleveland Cavaliers NBA title with some California wine from a Democratic counterpart.

U.S. Sen. Rob Portman has wagered a six-pack of Sharpshooter Wheat IPA from Cleveland's Great Lakes Brewing Co. California U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has put up Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon wines from the Golden State Warriors' home state of California.

The Cavs take on the Warriors in a best-of-seven series beginning Thursday night.

Portman says in a statement that he's proud of what the Cavs have done for Cleveland and their fans and looks forward to LeBron James and teammates bringing home a long-awaited championship.

Feinstein says she's expecting to win yet another bet with a colleague. Baseball's San Francisco Giants have won three of the last five World Series.
