Devin Booker to Start for Phoenix Suns

Much speculation has circulated surrounding the Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker and the regular season starting lineup.
The question most asked by fans was Devin Booker vs Brandon Knight starting at shooting guard for the Suns.
As announced by head coach Earl Watson and tweeted by AZcentral beatwriter Paul Coro, tonight’s preseason opener against the San Antonio Spurs will feature Devin Booker starting alongside Eric Bledsoe, with Brandon Knight coming off the bench in a sixth man role.
Of Knight, Watson said “he’s a starter in this league. He’s sacrificed the most for this team. He took it like the pro he is.”

Watson further noted that this would be the starting lineup during the regular season as well.
Booker, who took the team by storm in the second half of the season, will enter his second year ready to take the next step. Knight, who had been a starter for Phoenix last season, will now take on the role of bench player, though his minutes will certainly not be limited. Many fans had speculated that his role was best suited off the bench, though it seemed that his preference was to start.
With P.J. Tucker currently unable to play due to injury, T.J. Warren was forced into the starting lineup. Based on the head coach’s comments, starting Warren over Tucker will be the plan moving forward.
This lineup also features Tyson Chandler as the starting center, meaning fourth year center Alex Len will once again take on the reserve role.
Returning fan favorite Jared Dudley will round out the starting lineup at the power forward position.
