Clippers F Craig Smith out 2 weeks with back woes

Published Dec. 21, 2010 9:36 p.m. ET

Clippers forward Craig Smith will miss at least two weeks with a herniated disc in his lower back.

The Clippers said the reserve forward had an epidural injection Tuesday. He'll be re-evaluated next month.

Smith is averaging 5.8 points and 2.9 rebounds in 24 games with the Clippers, who beat Minnesota on Monday night for their first three-game winning streak of the season.

The Clippers also are without starting center Chris Kaman, who is out until at least next month with an injured left ankle, and reserve forward Brian Cook, who has missed two games with a sprained right ankle.
