Cavs set mark, go 9 for 9 on 3-pointers in quarter

CLEVELAND (AP) The Cleveland Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to go 9 for 9 or better on 3-pointers in a quarter Saturday against Atlanta, according to information provided to the team by the Elias Sports Bureau.

The Cavaliers hit all nine of their attempts in the period. LeBron James had three 3-pointers, while Kevin Love and Joe Harris added two apiece. Shawn Marion and Dion Waiters each had one.

Cleveland hit its first 11 3-pointers and set a team record by going 13 of 17 in the first half. Cleveland led 71-43 at halftime.
