It didn’t take long for John Calipari to shoot down reports that he may be interested in the New Orleans Pelicans opening. Just minutes ago, we shared a report by NOLA.com’s John Reid, which said that Calipari “may be interested” in coaching former players Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans. Calipari didn’t waste any time in addressing it.

Coaches have made similar statements and still taken those jobs in the past, but considering the talent that Calipari brings in every year, and the recent reports of a generous contract extension, we fully expect Calipari to stay put.
