Brandon Jennings: Can Kentucky still beat an NBA team?

By Matt Lombardi
Kentucky, stacked with perhaps 10 future professional players, won its first 38 games this year. For much of the season, college basketball fans debated whether the Wildcats would be capable of beating an NBA squad. After UK lost to Wisconsin this past Saturday night in the Final Four, however, that talk has understandably died down. Now, at least one current NBA player is mocking that the idea ever existed.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings joked on Twitter Monday morning about the concept with a sarcastic message.
"Kentucky can still beat an NBA team?" Jennings wrote. "Oh ok."
This goes without saying, but it’s unlikely that Kentucky would have even had a chance against any NBA team – even the New York Knicks or Philadelphia 76ers. Either way, it looks like the national debate is probably over.
