The Boston Celtics made their first two free-agency move officially Thursday, announcing the signing of former Toronto Raptors forward Amir Johnson and the re-signing of forward Jonas Jerebko.
The team did not announce the terms of either contract, but earlier reports pegged Johnson’s at two years, $24 million and Jerebko’s at two years, $10 million.

“Amir is a proven, young veteran and an exciting addition to our team,” Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said in a statement. “His length, athleticism, rebounding and shooting ability will help us on both ends of the court.
“[…] Jonas’ versatility, non-stop energy and contributions on both ends of the court quickly endeared him to his teammates, coaching staff and our fans. We are very excited to welcome him back.”
The Celtics also reportedly have reached agreements on two other transactions — re-signing forward Jae Crowder to a five-year, $35 million deal and acquiring Golden State Warriors center David Lee for a package that includes veteran forward Gerald Wallace — but have yet to formally announce either.
