Are Minnesota Timberwolves interested in Kendall Marshall?

Published Jul. 27, 2015 6:30 p.m. ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves are very talented at the point guard position, with Ricky Rubio and Tyus Jones set to be their starter and backup next season.

But, barring Zach LaVine's return to a role he clearly isn't suited for, the buck stops there, leaving Minnesota a bit thin at one of the sport's most important positions.

Enter: Kendall Marshall?

The former lottery pick has played for three teams in three years before tearing his ACL last season, but he produced as a Milwaukee Buck in 2015, averaging 10.2 points, 7.4 assists and 1.8 steals per 36 minutes while making over 45 percent of his shots.

When healthy, Marshall isn't a bad insurance option off the bench, which is why the Timberwolves wouldn't be crazy to bring him aboard.
