The Chicago White Sox are off a red-hot 3-1 start, but things almost got too hot to host their home opener Friday.
A fire broke out early Friday morning (about 2:25 a.m. CT) on the first floor of U.S. Cellular Field, according to the Chicago Tribune.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the blaze was extinguished less than an hour after it began burning. The cause of the fire, which started in a storage room, is under investigation.
