White Sox push back Peavy, Stewart to start

Published Aug. 6, 2011 1:04 a.m. ET

The Chicago White Sox announced after Friday night's 5-3 win over the Minnesota Twins that Zach Stewart will start Saturday's game.

Jake Peavy was originally scheduled to start Saturday, but will be pushed back to Sunday's series finale.

To make room for Stewart, Chicago designated reliever Brian Bruney for assignment.

The White Sox acquired Stewart in a trade with Toronto on July 27 for Edwin Jackson and Mark Teahen.
