White Sox announce roster moves, recall Saladino from Triple-A Charlotte

The White Sox have recalled infielder Tyler Saladino from Triple-A Charlotte, the team announced Friday.

Saladino, 25, is in the starting lineup for Friday's matinee with the Cubs. He will bat second and play third base.

The utility man has played at shortstop for the majority of his games with Charlotte. He hit .255 with four home runs, 29 RBI and 25 stolen bases in 52 games with the Knights this season.

Saladino replaces Scott Carroll on the roster, who was optioned to Triple-A on Thursday.
