Sources: Astros nearing 3-year deal with Lyon

Earlier Tuesday, the Astros obtained right-hander Matt Lindstrom in a trade from the Marlins. Both Lindstrom and Lyon have closed in the past, but most industry observers view them more as setup men.

Lyon went 6-5 with three saves and a 2.86 ERA last season for the Tigers.

The deal will be pending a physical.
