Rusney Castillo injured again at Triple-A Pawtucket
Rusney Castillo, the Boston Red Sox' $72.5 million Cuban outfielder, was taken out of the game early after sliding into second base. According to Masslive, John Farrell doesn't think it's a serious injury:
"He wanted to stay in the game but precautionary we got him off the field."
This is the fourth injury that Castillo has sustained since joining the Sox last season. Here's the list from Masslive:
Injury 1: A right thumb contusion shortened his Arizona Fall League stay.
Injury 2: An oblique strain sidelined him for the first three weeks of spring training camp.
Injury 3:A shoulder injury kept him out for a little over two weeks in April.
Time will tell if Castillo is able to shake the injury bug, but for now the Red Sox front office has to feel frustrated with the development.
