Kansas City Royals infielder Christian Colon had a big weekend. On Saturday, Colon celebrated his 27th birthday and was serenaded by fans during batting practice. A day later, Colon found out the gender of his first child in the best way possible for a baseball player.

Colon's wife Kayla is expecting, and on Sunday the couple found out the gender of their first child in a cloud of dust from an exploding baseball.

According to MLB.com, both Christian and Kayla had no idea what the baby's gender was, and Kayla's sister had to keep the secret for days.
