Rosenthal: Rockies not interested in trading Troy Tulowitzki

As the trade deadline nears, Troy Tulowitzki's name has been mentioned in conjunction with a few teams, but the Colorado Rockies are reportedly adamant to hold on to their star shortstop.

The team most commonly linked to Tulowitzki is the New York Mets, who are eagerly searching for power-hitters to bolster their futile offense.

However, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Mets' talks with the Rockies haven't gone very far, and Colorado has made it clear it doesn't want to trade Tulowitzki.

"A push for Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left the Mets under the impression that Colorado does not want to trade him," Rosenthal writes.

Tulowitzki, who is hitting .305/.353/.478 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI in 86 games, is under contract with the Rockies through 2020, with a team option for 2021.
