MILWAUKEE (AP) Matt Garza of the Milwaukee Brewers had his no-hit bid broken up after the Philadelphia Phillies' Jimmy Rollins led off the top of the seventh inning with a single.

Rollins hit a hard chopper just past diving first baseman Mark Reynolds for the single into right. Until then, the only baserunner allowed by Garza came on a walk to Marlon Byrd in the fifth.

The Brewers had a 1-0 lead on Carlos Gomez's solo shot to left center off David Buchanan in the bottom of the sixth.

The right-handed Garza threw a no-hitter while with the Rays, a 5-0 victory on July 26, 2010 over the Detroit Tigers.
