Rockies' Ben Paulsen makes top play of the day robbing HR

Rockies rookie Ben Paulsen has mostly been playing first base in Justin Morneau’s absence. However, he’s started in left field in each of the Rockies’ past three games. On Thursday, he made one of his best defensive plays at either position.

In the bottom of the eighth inning he made a leaping catch over the left field wall to rob the Diamondbacks’ Chris Owings of a home run. Per Examiner.com, Paulsen said about the catch:

“That’s probably the best play I’ve ever made, and it’s definitely the best play I’ve ever made in the outfield.”

It was actually the No. 1 play on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays for Thursday.
