The Texas Rangers have optioned right-hander reliever Pedro Strop to Triple-A Round Rock one day after giving up three runs in the Rangers' late loss to Seattle.

Texas recalled right-hander Mark Lowe to take Strop's roster spot.

Lowe was sent to Round Rock on April 18 after posting a 13.50 ERA in four relief appearances for the Rangers. At Round Rock, he was 1-0 with a 2.89 ERA in six appearances and held opponents scoreless in his last 4 1-3 innings.

Strop had given up just one earned run in his previous 10 appearances this season for the Rangers, but struggled on Tuesday night as Seattle rallied for a 4-3 victory. Strop gave up four hits and three runs in one inning of work.
