A public memorial service and viewing will be held for Jose Fernandez on Wednesday, with a private funeral to be held Thursday.
Mourners will process from Marlins Park to the Shrine of Our Lady of Charity beginning at 2:16 p.m. Fernandez wore No. 16.
There will be a blessing at the shrine and the procession will continue to Saint Brendan Catholic Church, where there will be a public viewing from 4 p.m. to midnight.
Fernandez and two other men, Eddy Rivero and Emilio Macias, were killed when his 32-foot boat crashed into a rock jetty at full speed on Sunday.
