Orioles' Machado wins American League Player of the Week

Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado is really starting to hit his stride.

After missing most of 2014 with an injury, it took him a bit to get into the swing of things. He hit just .254 over 20 games in April, but has since turned it around.

Now, he's been awarded the American League Player of the Month following a week where he was nearly unstoppable:

On the season, Machado is now hitting .286 (68/238) with 11 home runs and 28 RBI while playing his usual spectacular defense.
