Orioles close to signing first round pick DJ Stewart

Before Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles general manager addressed the media regarding unsigned first round pick DJ Stewart:

"DJ Stewart I expect to sign, and I don't know the exact timetable. If we can progress in our discussions, and get out him out playing for next week, that's what we're shooting for. We'd like to see him out playing ball. I think he wants to go out and play ball, too."

The Florida State product led his team in hitting with a .318 average with 15 home runs and 59 RBI.
