Outfielder Jeff Francoeur is on the move again, agreeing to a one-year contract with the Kansas City Royals.

Kansas City said Wednesday's agreement includes a mutual option for 2012 and is subject to a physical.

Francoeur split this year between the New York Mets and the Texas Rangers, hitting a combined .249 with 13 home runs and 65 RBIs.

He came up with the Atlanta Braves in 2005 and won a Gold Glove two years later, then was traded to the Mets in 2009. He has a .268 career average with 101 homers and 465 RBIs.
