Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper tied his career high for home runs in a season on Tuesday, and certainly made sure there was no doubt about it.

In the top of the fifth inning in the Nationals game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Harper belted a 1-1 off-speed pitch 445 feet for a solo shot that flew over the ray tank in center field at Tropicana Field.

At 22 home runs with 99 games remaining in the regular season, Harper is poised to demolish his season-high home run tally, which he set in his rookie season in 2012.

Harper went 3-for-3 in the game with a walk, his second such performance in three games. The 22-year-old slugger is now hitting .346 on the year with 52 RBI to complement his 22 long flies.
