Mets fans have gone into full-on panic mode.

The team said Monday that staff ace Matt Harvey won't pitch again this spring and that his Opening Day start could be in doubt.

Reporters were told that he missed the Mets' all-squad trip to Jupiter, Fla., to attend a "non-orthopedic doctor's appointment."

When asked about Harvey's status for Opening Day, which he's scheduled to start, manager Terry Collins said "it's hard to say." Though Collins declined comment on the nature of Harvey's doctor's visit, he insisted that it had nothing to do with the pitcher's arm. Harvey underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in 2014.

Mets general manager Sandy Alderson also spoke with reporters about Harvey's status and said that the right-hander might have to travel back to New York to undergo further testing, but refused to elaborate on the details of Harvey's ailment.

Of course the news, or lack thereof, didn't sit well with Mets fans, who took to Twitter to display their frustration with both Harvey and the organization, for being so secretive about the ordeal.

Harvey, 27, went 13-8 with a 2.71 ERA in 2015 after missing the entire 2014 season following surgery.
