Mets fan heckles Giancarlo Stanton, who proceeds to launch mammoth home run
During the Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets series at Citi Field this week, the Mets won two out of three games despite Giancarlo Stanton's four straight at bats in which he hit (gigantic) homeruns -- all of which were estimated to have traveled more than 430 feet.
Coming into the series, Stanton was in the worst slump of his career -- per MLB.com:
From the sound of things, it seemed like it would take an act of God to get Stanton back on track -- an act of God, or, maybe a heckler ...
We don't know if Giancarlo's four homerun onslaught was a result of being energized by this fan's words -- but, after hitting three of the four longest home runs ever recorded at Citi Field, Stanton is back and in a big way.
