Mets announce Spring Training reporting dates
The Mets announced their 2017 Spring Training dates on Thursday.
In case you were not on Facebook and Twitter Thursday afternoon, the Mets announced their 2017 Spring Training reporting dates. It’s like the organization was like “okay, yeah we messed up by letting Bartolo Colon go, but we signed Cespedes, fans are excited again, so let’s get them even more pumped by giving them dates they can look forward to.”
I can dig it. I’m about to set my countdown clock on my phone. Maybe even start looking up flights to Port St. Lucie…

Earlier this month the Mets had announced that they would be opening their Grapefruit League Schedule on February 24 in Fort Meyers, Florida against the Red Sox. Their schedule includes 35 exhibition games. Of these, 18 are home games in Port St. Lucie.
The regular season is then to start on April 3rd at Citi Field against the Braves. It may only be December 1st, but I’m ready for some baseball.
