The Washington Nationals have a new and unique celebration for a player who wins a game with a walk-off hit. The player gets showered by Hershey’s syrup.

Pitcher Max Scherzer talked about this ritual when he was on MLB Network’s ‘International Talk’ with hosts Kevin Millar and Chris Rose.

“You know, what’s your favorite ice cream topping?” Scherzer asked. “Chocolate syrup. You know, it tops it all off. So when you have a great win, and you have a walk-off win, let’s top it off with the best topping there is: chocolate syrup. So, what are you gonna do about that? It’s the best thing there is.”
