A look at what's happening all around the major leagues today:

BIG NIGHT IN THE CITI

The night New York Mets fans have been waiting for: Matt Harvey makes his first home start in nearly 20 months when he faces Philadelphia at Citi Field. The star pitcher missed last season while recovering from Tommy John. He is 4-0 with a 1.08 ERA in five starts against the Phillies. Last week, Harvey struck out nine in six shutout innings at Washington.

A ROYAL ROLL

Kansas City tries to improve 8-0 when Edinson Volquez pitches at Minnesota. The AL champions are the only unbeaten team in the majors. The Royals' best start in team history was 9-0 in 2003.

MADBUM'S COLLECTION

World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner will receive his postseason hardware in a ceremony before San Francisco hosts Colorado. He made quite an entrance at the home opener Monday, riding a horse through the outfield warning track at AT&T Park to take the Giants' latest championship flag to teammate Matt Cain.

START HIM UP

Tampa Bay righty Matt Andriese will make his first major league start when he pitches in Toronto. He'll be the 25th different starter used by the Rays since 2008, the fewest in baseball over that span. Andriese made his major league debut with a scoreless inning against Miami last Friday.
