Lucas Harrell pitched six shutout innings to lead the Houston Astros to a 6-2 exhibition victory over their Double-A Corpus Christi affiliate on Monday night.

Harrell, who made the team's opening-day roster earlier in the day and is likely to be in the starting rotation, struck out four and allowed six hits. He worked his way out of any trouble by inducing three double plays.

Chris Johnson hit his team-best sixth home run of the spring, a solo shot to left-center in the second.

That was the only hit Hooks starter Jose Cisnero allowed in four innings of work. He struck out five.

The Astros padded their lead with four runs in the seventh on Jason Castro's RBI single, Landon Powell's sacrifice fly and Marwin Gonzalez's two-run single. Justin Ruggiano added a solo homer in the ninth.

Adam Bailey homered for the Hooks.

The Astros made a roster move Monday, optioning pitcher Jordan Lyles to Triple-A Oklahoma City. They also announced that pitchers David Carpenter, Rhiner Cruz, Fernando Rodriguez and Kyle Weiland will be on the opening-day roster.
