Dodgers' Scott Baker one out away from perfect game

Published Apr. 21, 2015 5:23 p.m. ET

After retiring the first 20 batters of the game against the Iowa Cubs on Monday, Dodgers Triple-A Oklahoma City pitcher Scott Baker allowed a single on an 0-2 count. The game was only going to last seven innings because it was the first of a doubleheader, so it was shortened in accordance with minor league rules. Baker was signed by the Dodgers earlier this month after being cut by the Yankees this spring.
