Dodgers' Mike Bolsinger avoids serious injury after comebacker scare

The Los Angeles Dodgers have suffered many major blows to their pitching staff this season, and they experienced another scare earlier this week when starter Mike Bolsinger was hit by a comebacker during a minor-league start.

Manager Don Mattingly told reporters Wednesday that Bolsinger, who was hit on his right throwing arm by a comebacker during a start with the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City, Okla., avoided serious injury in the incident.

Bolsinger, who is 5-3 with a 2.83 ERA and 78 strikeouts in 16 starts in his first season with the Dodgers, is on schedule for his next start.
