David Ortiz trolled an Orioles fan after hitting a mammoth homer
Red Sox slugger David Ortiz hasn’t missed many good pitches this season, but that was the case when he flew out to right field in the fifth inning Tuesday. And a fan in Baltimore let him hear about it.
As Ortiz walked back to Boston’s dugout after that out, he told the fan that he just missed the pitch and would get it next time. Well, here is Ortiz’s next at-bat in the seventh inning:

And, yes, Big Papi made sure to check back in with that fan after basically calling his shot.
The homer was Ortiz’s 36th of the season – the most ever for a player in his final season. It also proved to be the game-winning shot for the Red Sox, who won their sixth consecutive game and extended their lead to five games in the AL East.
The most home runs in a final season EVER. ? https://t.co/wrlFmb847e
