David Ortiz got a sweet new ride as a gift from Red Sox ownership
David Ortiz is one of the most beloved players to ever suit up for the Red Sox. And even though his playing days are over, he's still adored by everyone in Boston, including Red Sox ownership.
In fact, Ortiz apparently is still receiving parting gifts months after his famous retirement tour ended, and it looks like the Red Sox saved the best for last.
Big Papi took to Instagram on Wednesday to flaunt his flashy new Mercedes that appears to be a gift from Red Sox owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner, and president Sam Kennedy.
Of course, gifting Big Papi with a sweet new sports car is the least the Sox could do after the 2013 World Series MVP helped break the Curse of the Bambino and bring three World Series titles to Boston during his 14-year tenure.
